After bonking on the first ride I guess I should have stayed put and not gone to Fort Saskatchewan. That's crazy talk! New bike day should be spent on that brand new bike! I went and the bike gave me much of the same as it did earlier in the day. My body however didn't even let me reach the boat launch, yes I see you rolling your eyes.
After the first day though I have a real good feeling about this bike. For the short time I had in Fort Saskatchewan it performed incredibly, the handling is amazing. I may just be keeping this bar after all, although the tight trees on the awesome singletrack here did make my ass pucker several times as I wondered if I'd make it through.
There is a lot more to learn from this amazing bike, the first day was a definite winner. With work meetings starting tomorrow my next available ride will hopefully be Sunday if Mothers day and bike riding can cohabitate. Till then, no beer review for the weekend.
