Warning! The following riding post is beaming with pride. If you are offended by parents who brag about their kids then I suggest you go elsewhere. For the ones who know me well, they know I`m not bad with bragging about how awesome my kids are, but....
After a day of hiding in the basement as the predicted "end of the world" was going to start we decided this is bunk, so I took my older daughter on some good old singletrack for her first time ever late in the day.

Terwilliger park was called on for this special event, it was a long, long time ago when I first laid tread on the trails of Terwilliger park and that first ride there has always stuck with me. So, why not let my eldest have her first real fat tire experience there.
We stuck to the lower parts and I was excited with how quickly she adapted to the trails. On our singletrack excursions she handled the roots well, albeit, the roots are nothing too scary in Terwilliger. For a young kid though, Papa was proud. The beaming moment on tonight`s ride was watching some teenage kids get off their bikes and walk up a hill that my daughter rode up afterwards (twice).... Yes, I`m typing this with tears in my eyes....

This is a tradition that will keep up and for the ones who keep up with this here blog, you will notice more Father/Daughter ride reports as she has been asking me to go again on the drive home. I`m thinking this is going to be a pretty good year of riding bikes.
